Guy's major goal is to become a successful tournament golf professional. He is responsible, and hard working whilst patient and determined to succeed in achieving his goal.
At 28 years of age, Guy has achieved many accolades. As an amateur, he represented Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon at every level and was a member of the 1st team for 5 consecutive years. He currently holds five course records and was club champion at two clubs, Windlesham and East Berkshire, with record aggregate scores.
In 1998, Guy achieved a notable success in The Prince of Wales trophy in Kent against an exceptionally strong field. Guy stormed home to victory by a clear four shots to beat a whole host of top national players.
Guy has worked with two of the top coaches in Europe for the past 8 years, Dennis Sheehy and currently with Andrew Nicholson. Dennis has worked with Seve Ballesteros, Stephen Ames, Sven Struver and many more.
Dennis Sheehy was recently quoted as saying, "Guy is one of the best young players I have ever taught. His results will speak for themselves and the exciting thing is that his best is still to come".
Since turning professional at the start of 2000, Guy has attempted to gain his European Tour Card on 4 occasions, 2005 being his best showing, narrowly missing out on qualifying by 2 shots.
